Worship
@ Pontiac First
First United Methodist
Church offers three distinct type of worship services
on Sunday mornings. We hope you will take advantage
of one or more of them. The congregation and staff
feel truly blessed to have the ability to offer three
distinct types of worship on Sunday mornings. This allows
each of us, no matter where we are in our walk with
Christ, to be able to worship and praise His name in
a way that is comfortable to us. Holy Communion
is served the first Sunday of each month at all three
of our worship services and all worship services are
held in the sanctuary.
BLENDED
WORSHIP ▪ 8:15 AM
Our Blended service offers worshipers the very best
in favorite hymns and new praise choruses in a less
formal setting. The Glory Chorale, directed by
Laura Ramseyer, provides music each week. The
projection system is used to enhance worship through
showing movie clips, providing words to songs, and for
sermon illustrations.
TRADITIONAL
WORSHIP ▪ 9:30 AM
Traditional Worship
at Pontiac First allows for worship in a time-honored
style. Service includes liturgy, formal hymns,
and congregational prayers. The Sanctuary Choir,
lead by Laura Ramseyer, is also featured during this
service.
CONTEMPORARY
WORSHIP ▪ 10:45 AM
Worship at the Contemporary service features modern
worship music by Vineyard, Passion, Hillsong, and more.
The Praise Band leads this service weekly. The
projection system is used for songs, sermon notes, video,
and special presentations. People are invited
to come as they are and praise our Father in an informal
friendly setting.
