Seeking prayers for safe travel for my brother who is in Egyt on vacation. As the sister I worry. Also prayers for Barb Trainor who is faceing the final days of her life here on earth. Let her know peace and comfort. draw her family near to her and also give them peace and comfort.
lastly a little prayer for me that new tests come back and that I get my health issues under control with the help of the lord.

Asking for prayers for my husband DJ. The pain & numbness seems to be getting a lot worse & the pain meds don't seem to be helping much. He was supposed to see the surgeon Friday but got moved back. Hoping for some kind of news & relief from pain.

Dear church family:Please pray for us, especially our daughter, who has a mass on her lung. We are waiting to see if they can biopsy it. This is the only way now to know what it is. It is in a difficult spot to get at for a biopsy. thank you!

I wish to express my deepest & heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all who
reached out and comforted not only me, but also Dan and Amanda, and our
extended families during Becky’s illness and eventual passing. To those who
provided prayers, words of support and concern, food, and countless hours
of comfort, kindness, and care, we thank you all from the bottom of our
hearts.
A very special expression of gratitude is felt by us to Rev. Gretchen
Stinebaugh, Pastors Scott and Carrie Carnes, and to Rev. Ray Owens for
their comfort, guidance, and prayers during Becky’s illness. I know that
their words of assurance of God’s promise gave Becky a special peace as she
went to be with her Lord and Savior.
Finally, I wish to give a huge bundle of love and thank you’s to Becky’s
friend of many years, Robin Tucker. Robin picked us up on her shoulders and
carried all of us thru this time of Becky’s illness, her new life in
heaven, and the celebration of her life here on this earth. God is truly a
loving and merciful God and we thank Him for Becky’s life. The libraries
and choirs of heaven are truly enriched by her presence.
May God also comfort you in all that you do!!

A Health Update: Rev. Scott
As you are probably aware, a mass was found in my cerebellum at the end of November. In consultation with several doctors we have learned our next step is neurosurgery to remove what they suppose is a non-aggressive glioma, in other words: a tumor that isn't growing quickly.
The first step will be an MRI on February 5 to map my brain and then the procedure will be on Monday, February 6. It is expected that I will be in Intensive Care for a couple of days after the procedure and then move to another room for the remainder of my hospital stay. They are expecting my time in the hospital to be about 6-8 days, if there are no complications.
In consultation with Rev. Leah Pogemiller (our District Superintendent), Mike McCabe (our staff-parish chairperson) and Rev. Ray; and with consideration to my time with my wife, my need to stay healthy, and my own preparations for this surgery we have determined that my last day of work will be January 26 and my leave will likely last until after Easter depending upon the speed of my recuperation and doctor's advice.
I know that this is very ill-timed, but this is a moment in time when we can choose to be fruitful or faithless. I believe this church will choose to be fruitful and active in ministry with Rev. Ray. I pray that in my absence this church will choose to rise up and grow stronger ministry. It is a time for us to be filled with the Spirit and renewed in our ministry and I know that this church can do so.
Blessings,
Rev. Scott Carnes
