Our Services
First United Methodist Church offers two distinct types of worship services on
Sunday mornings. We hope you will take advantage of one or both of them. The
congregation and staff feel truly blessed to have the ability to offer these
distinct types of worship on Sunday mornings. This allows each of us, no matter
where we are in our walk with Christ, to be able to worship and praise His name
in a way that is comfortable to us. Holy Communion is served the first Sunday
of each month at both of our worship services and all worship services are held
in the sanctuary.
"THE CROSS AND
FLAME" BLENDED WORSHIP ▪ 8:15 AM
Our Blended service offers worshipers the very best in favorite hymns and new
praise choruses in a less formal setting. The Sanctuary Choir,
directed by Laura Ramseyer, provides music each week. The projection system is
used to enhance worship through showing movie clips, providing words to songs,
and for sermon illustrations.
"AFLAME"
CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP ▪ 10:45 AM
Worship at the Contemporary service features modern worship music led each week
by a talented praise team made up of drums, guitars, keyboards, vocals in
praising God in a "fresh" way using contemporary music and playing
hymns in a contemporary way. The projection technology is used for songs,
sermon notes, video, and special presentations. People are invited to come as
they are and praise our Father in an less-formal, friendly setting.
RADIO BROADCAST ▪ 10:30
AM ▪ WJEZ 98.9-FM
Each Sunday our 8:15 AM Blended worship service is recorded and then broadcast
at 10:30 AM on WJEZ 98.9-FM.
