Fifth Grade Fasting
Saturday, 10 AM
The fasting experiences have been so successful that we now do it every year for our 5th graders. They will meet at 10AM to begin their fast by skipping lunch and snacks. In the evening they will have a light supper. There will be time for meditation, communion, service projects and just having fun. They are very excited about their mission project. The students will be raising money to help defray the cost of summer
church camp in hopes that more kids will have the opportunity to attend. On March 7th the students will explain
their project to the congregation during all worship services. Donations will be received through the church office, by contacting a 5th grader and before all services on March 7th and March 14th. Please pray for these children as they experience this
closeness with God.

New Study in the Asbury Fellowship

Small Group Life: Mission

12 Week Study

Being "on mission" no longer JUST means occasional trips or life-long commitments to missions work. Today, "missional" is understood in a much broader sense and now includes a lifestyle, a heart for people, and a mind-set in the image of Jesus and His charges to take care of the poor, disenfranchised, and less fortunate everywhere. "Missional" is a way of life. The process of becoming missional begins with surrender and ends in life stewardship. Its trail winds through our heart, comfort zones, and the dead areas of our existence, culminating in the vision God has given us for our lives.

This issue will address being on mission in six areas:
• Surrender
• Intention
• On Mission
• Discomfort
• Stewardship
• Evangelism

Come join us on any Sunday morning at 9:30am in the Asbury room.
