WHAT IS MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and is an international organization that exists to encourage, equip, and help women become the best moms that they can be! Women who are pregnant or have young children (birth through kindergarten) are all invited to join MOPS.
MOPS provides an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together. We share our experiences, learn from one another, and support each other. MOPS meetings are a wonderful place to build friendships and have fun with other moms. In other words, it's a playdate for moms!
At each of our meetings, moms enjoy a chance to socialize with other moms over brunch and a hot cup of coffee. We have a short time for announcements, followed by either a speaker or a creative activity, plus a small group discussion that allows you to get to know other moms more closely.
Childcare during all meetings is provided through the MOPPETS program. We provide a fun, nurturing environment for your kids to play and learn while you take a well-deserved break!
MOPS International exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
To join Pontiac MOPS, there is a fee of $48.95. Please feel free to visit the group before making your decision to join, at no charge. Visitors are always welcome! We also have full and partial scholarships available to those who need it. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Your membership fee pays for your individual International MOPS membership ($23.95), and local MOPS membership. Membership benefits include a monthly subscription to the MomSense magazine and a reusable tote bag. Your local dues go towards childcare during meetings, supplies, and speaker fees.
WHEN & WHERE DO WE MEET?
Pontiac MOPS meets on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of every month starting in September through May from 9am until 11am at Pontiac First United Methodist Church, located at 219 N. Chicago St.
We'll take new members anytime throughout the MOPS season.
We are in need of childcare workers at each meeting to staff the childcare/MOPPET program that runs at the same time as the mothers program. If interested, please contact email@example.com for applications.
