Opportunity to Welcome Our New
Pastor and Family to First UMC
Rev.
Ray Owens and his wife, Susan, and family will
be available in the narthex after all three church
services on July 12, 2009 to meet their new church
family. Please bring non-perishable food items
to be donated to the Livingston County Pantry
in honor of the Owens’ new ministry beginning
here at Pontiac. Rev. Ray’s first Sunday
in the pulpit at First UMC will be July 5.

Bike
& Build Returns
Just a reminder that the Bike and Build team,
33 college students, will be stopping in Pontiac
July 6-8. We will have a potluck supper for them
on July 7 at 6 PM. The entire church is invited
to attend. Please bring a covered dish to share
with these young people. They will do a program
of why they are biking across America. They will
be staying here at our church for two nights.
They will not be asking for donations. They raised
their money before leaving home. Come support
their efforts and meet some great young people.
